PS2 didn't out sell the 360, it's just higher on the list. That said it still sold 3/4 of what the 360 sold even though it is about 10 years old.
When did an 8% drop become huge? Last week it only sold about 4 thousand more. If you mean the week when it sold 200k and you're comparing that to now you have to understand that 100% of people knew there would be a huge drop then. It was the week after the week of the price cut.
Edit: More interesting to me is the wii's sales. Not even a 1/3 of the PS3's? Ya the big N might have chosen a good time for the price cut.

I'm not normally one to scream bias. But what really did it for me was ODST got a 9. Basically the only problem was that it didn't do much new. Then they gave Killzone 2 a 7 for basically the same problem. So ya, something about that seems wrong to me.
Final Fantasy 7 and Castelvania SOTN are two amazing games that I have only been able to enjoy thanks to Sony including this feature. I'm glad that they decided to do this.
Except I didn't even need the manual to do this sh!t. Just plug in the chord into where it fits and turn on the system. You are auto told to update the firmware. So just press the X button to do that (as directed on screen) and to set up an account just follow on screen directions. So as long as you can tell what goes in which hole (lol) and you can read you don't need help with this. I might be willing to pay $25 if I was a lazy a-hole.

Well this is basically a tie. I mean the 360 beat ps3 by about 2%, so no big difference. Also I think the price cut should make a big difference. After all, when do you think we'll see the effect of the price cut, on 4 days during August, or during 30 in September?
